Integrate WordPress with Asset Bank's Digital Asset Management software so your users can instantly find and publish assets without having to leave WordPress.
WordPress is one of the world's most popular blogging and CMS platforms and is used by companies across the globe to create and publish rich web content. One of the key strengths of WordPress is the simplicity of it's user experience and the huge developer community which continues to produce a wide array of plugins and integrations.
The first step is to contact us to purchase and install the Asset Bank digital asset management plugin for WordPress, and to configure your Asset Bank. You will be able to choose whether or not the images selected from Asset Bank are copied across to your WordPress server (via FTP) or served directly from Asset Bank. This one-time setup is all you need to get started and one of our technical consultants will work with your WordPress admin to complete the setup.
Once the setup is complete, your WordPress users will immediately notice a new "Asset Bank" button within the WordPress editor.
Clicking on this button will open a new browser window in which the user will be able to login and browse through Asset Bank in the normal way. The key difference is that when coming to the download page, they will see a button that allows them to 'Select for CMS'. After clicking this button, the image will be visible in the WordPress editor and the user can continue to complete and publish their content as usual.
The Asset Bank WordPress plugin supports both single and multisite installations, meaning that a single Asset Bank instance can power multiple WordPress blogs. When selected, Asset Bank images are automatically added to the site-specific WordPress media library.
When images from Asset Bank are moved into WordPress, it is possible to pull across image metadata stored in Asset Bank and use it to populate fields within WordPress. This is achieved by using Asset Bank's embedded data-mapping features in combination with the WordPress Media Library Assistant plugin. Our consultants will help you to configure your metadata as part of the setup process.
